Andhra Bank employees demanded the Agri Gold company to pay the due Rs.227 crore to the bank immediately.This was for the third time Bank Employees have been protesting.
Andhra Bank,Assistant General Manager,Vijay Pratap said that the Company Agri Gold has taken loans of Rs. 227 crore of which Rs.210 crore loan was declared Non-Performing Asset (NPA) as they have not paid the installments since 3 months. Another Rs. 20 crore borrowed for three power plants have to be declared as NPAs according to the guidelines.
