This is another variety of soup mostly cook in Andhra Predesh.
3 Bitter guards(Remove the ends & cut into small pieces)
2 onions(cut into small pieces)
3 tbls.sugar/big lemon size jaggery
1 lemon size tamarind(soak and make juice)
pinch of turmaric powder and salt for taste
1 tbls.of fine rice powder
1 red chilli
1 ts.mustard seeds
Put a pan on a low flame.Cook the bitter guard pieces covering with a lid turning now & then(without oil)for 10-12 minutes. Once it is cooked add 2 tbls.oil and onion pieces. Fry till onions become brownish. Add tamarind juice,turmaric powder and salt. Let it boil for 10 minutes. Add sugar/jaggery to it.
Take rice powder in a small container add 3 tbls.water,mix well and add to the soup.
Take ladle put on a low flame. Pour 1 tbls.oil and fry all the popu items and mix into the soup.
Goes well with hot rice. Dip daal rice into the soup and eat. Very tasty
