Devotee Donate Heavy Fund to Mantralayam Temple
Bhallari Mining Contractor cum businessman Suryanarayana Reddy has donated Rs.90 Lakhs to Mantralayam Sri Raghavendra Swami Temple at Kurnool District. He also promised to give Rs.6Crores for construction of Temple Mandap with good Architecture.
It lies on the banks of the Tungabhadra river on the border with neighbouring Karnataka state. It is also called as Manchale. This town is noted for the holy presence of the Vrindavana (sacred burial) of Guru Raghavendra Swami శ్రీ రాఘవేంద్ర స్వామి, a Madhwa saint and follower of Sri Madhwacharya. It is believed that Guru Raghavendra Swami శ్రీ రాఘవేంద్ర స్వామి is in the Vrindavana from the past 339 years and is believed to be in the Vrindavana for another 361 years. While entering the Vrindavana, Guru Raghavendra Swami stated that he would be there (in the Vrindavana) for 700 years.
Pooja and Temple Timings
At about 6am daily will take place the cleansing of the Sri Raghavendra Brindavan with water , after the remnants of the previous days puja offerings are removed. This is followed in order by anointing with panchamritham bathing with pure water, adornment with clothes and precious ornaments, worship with flowers and offering of Mangala Harathi. Similar worship and offerings are made at the shrines of Sri Pranadeva (Sri Vayudeva) and at the Brindavans of Sri Vadindra and other swamis. Later sacred water and prasadams (tokens of divine grace) are given to the devotees. In the evening utsav to the swami is conducted and concluded by “Swasti” and Mangala Harathi.
