3-4 cups water1 cup yellow lentils
1 cup Tomato Puree
1 small onion (finely chopped)
1 tbsp Ghee
1/2 tsp jeera
1/2 tsp muster seeds
1/2 tsp Chilli powder
A pinch of Turmeric powder
A pinch of Sugar (optional)
1 pinch asafoetida
2 tsp. Lemon juice
Salt to taste
Wash lentils and Pressure cook it. Mash it thoroughly and set aside.
Heat ghee in a pan Put asafoetida, muster seeds and Jeera, Allow it to splutter.Add red chili powde, turmeric powder.
Add tomato Puree,chopped onion and stir well.
Cover the pan with lid and reduce the heat to low.let it cook for 2-3 min.
Add cooked lentils,add 3-4 cups of water (Soup consistency)add sugar lemon juice, Stir well.Remove from the heat.
Garnish with coriander leaves serve hot.
